Lawrence Chong: Chief Technology Officer
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Information Systems Design
After graduating from University in the UK Lawrence joined Citibank and worked on developing Treasury Group MIS sub systems and then worked with Hong Kong Hotel Group as they started the mainframe replacement project.
In the early 1990’s Lawrence migrated to Australia to start a new life where he started a new role designing solutions with evolution on Token Ring and the emerging ATM technology with Olicom and Madge. During this time he was also heavily competing and gaining experience with the rapid growth and maturing Ethernet market with Xylan switching technology.
In 2000 Lawrence joined Alcatel and worked on Enterprise PBX & IP Network technologies. Then in late 2003 an opportunity arose to join VoIP and grow new business with Alcatel-Lucent technologies. Since then has been enjoying the success of the new business model.
In July 2008 Lawrence was appointed as Chief Technical Officer to ensure the technological path taken by the group meets both internal and external customer business requirements, while directing the internal Information Technology Team and leading the National Solutions Architect team.
