2010 Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run
On the 29th of August 2010, 50 000 participants took part in the "Bridge to Brisbane" race. VoIP was proud to have had 22 participants from the company join the race. VoIP was proud to sponsor them and the participants were very content to be part of this great charity event.
The Bridge to Brisbane 2010is a race that happens every year which enable charities to raise money. This year the major charity beneficiary was Autism Queensland. The registration money went towards this wonderful cause.
In 13 years nearly 250 000 participants have helped raise over $3.14 million for charities.
This year, 50 000 participants of all ages and fitness levels joined the race. They could run or choose to walk but everybody was there for one reason: Autistic children.
Autism affects one in every 160 children in Australia. The charity helps autistic children aged 6 and under and helps their parents to understand autism, and to develop strategies for their children. Research shows early intervention can help autistic children develop skills to help them succeed at school.
The bridge to Brisbane can be a fun day out for the whole family, a good way to exercise and in the same time raising money for an association that you are passionate about.
Thank you for all participants for representing VoIP at this great charity event and especially for being part of this caring challenge.
