Duress Emergency Telephony (DET) offers an alternative technology to address the shortcomings of the nbn™. The DET service is an all-inclusive solution with proactive monitoring and zero upfront hardware and installation fees. Customers receive a feature rich solution for a manageable monthly fee.
It is a legal requirement that all lifts have a working emergency phone, especially during a power outage. Thus, upgrading your emergency lift phone technology is mandatory. If you fail to upgrade, you will no longer meet the Australian Standard for emergency telephones and may be in breach of Workplace Health & Safety legislation.
The DET unit primarily uses Telstra’s cellular network but will automatically switch to a secondary network if needed, ensuring your emergency phones are operational 24/7, 365. In the event of a power failure, the DET unit will fall back on 12 hours of battery backup.
DET is a fully managed service that includes proactive monitoring, maintenance and onsite support. Installation and support are performed by VoIP’s national team of fully licensed and certified technicians. All hardware and software upgrades are included during the contract term, removing the risk and expense of obsolete technology.
