Work Health and Safety Policy

Obligations:

VGroup is committed to risk management principles in its business processes to ensure all works and services are performed in a safe, consistent and controlled manner. VGroup will eliminate or if that is not possible, reduced to as low as reasonably practicable, the potential for harm to employees, contractors, sub-contractors, customers, suppliers, authorised visitors and anyone else who may be affected by our operations whether in our offices or at external sites.

VGroup will ensure that our business processes comply with all relevant WHS Legislation across all jurisdictions and use applicable Australian Standards and Codes of Practice as our minimum standard.

Health and Safety is both an individual and shared responsibility for everyone at the workplace and everyone is encouraged to support this principle.

VGroup is committed to:

  • Comply with and keep up-to-date with WHS legislation relevant to our business practice
  • Prevent injury and illness by providing a safe and healthy working environment
  • Effectively implement WHS management plans and procedures and commitment to continually improve our performance through effective health and safety management
  • Set, achieve and measure WHS objectives
  • Identify and assign WHS administrative and operational responsibilities appropriately
  • Engage in regular consultation between management and employees, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Provide all VGroup employees, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers with necessary information, appropriate training and appropriate supervision.
  • Ensure all employees, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers comply with VGroup WHS Management System
  • Investigate all incidents and reported hazards so that deficiencies or weaknesses in VGroup’s WHS Management System can be identified and corrected.

Employees, Contractors, Subcontractors have an obligation to:

  • Comply with any direction given by VGroup Management.
  • Report any work related accidents, incidents or observed hazards immediately to your supervisor or
    through the agreed WHS consultation process.
  • Comply with all WHS programmes being implemented by VGroup and following safe work procedures.
  • Ensure that their jobs are performed safely and without causing risk to themselves, their colleagues, customers or the community
  • Participate in WHS consultation and training initiatives
  • Use personal protective equipment and clothing that is specified for their work and supplied by VGroup when required.
  • Do not misuse or interfere with any equipment or processes in place for health and safety.

Visitors are expected to recognise and cooperate with VGroup policy and commitment.

Application of this policy:

VGroup Management will communicate and make this Policy and objectives available to all interested parties.
We encourage suggestions for realising our health and safety objectives to create a safe working environment with a goal of Zero Harm. VGroup is committed to periodic workplace safety auditing and revision of this Policy.

This policy applies to all business operations and functions, including those situations where workers are required to work at external sites.
